Betfair™ Exchange Betting Odds 17+

Getting issues when trying to edit / cancel bets. Edit doesn’t work and having to resort to manual cancellation. Cancellation doesn’t work sometimes either – with the message “error processing your bets.”

Also similar when placing bets. After several seconds, nothing happens – if I try to place the bet again, I will get the error processing bet message.

I have had this app over a decade and this has only happened when using it on iPhone 15.

Bugged by issues

The app is constantly bugged by issues. Latest one has several shapes coming up instead of the market meaning it’s impossible to place/lay a bet this seems particularly prevalent with football markets this has been happening for weeks. I have deleted the app, reloaded it and the same issues there. Other issues include app randomly signing you out mid horse race/ football game, when returning to the app it will return to the market you were in for two seconds before dropping it & returning to the home page, also the cash out often gets stuck at a figure that’s way above the current true figure meaning pressing it will ultimately just reset it nearer to the current true figure. I have had several other issues over the years meaning bets could not be placed and the only way to sign into the Sportsbook app is by opening the Exchange app & signing in there otherwise Sportsbook will not recognise you. All in all pretty poor considering the size of Betfair. A lot needs to be sorted out to make this app do the job it’s supposed to do but I can’t see much improvement over a number of years.

Customer service

Trying to contact customer services for actions on account, for example verification or account query is very very poor. Probably the worst I have experienced in 36 years of betting. Not only my experience but also of a close friend. Sent round in circles, I.e unable to phone us at the moment, please use instant chat, or this email is no longer available for queries, please use instant chat. Let me tell you, there is nothing about instant chat that is instant. After 2 weeks of trying to perform a simple task my friend is still without his account. He is using an alternative exchange and I feel many more will follow. A shame really because in all the years I have used Betfair (10+) I have mostly been happy with its performance. I’ve sold my shares in the company as have lost confidence for now. If you can’t communicate reliably over a sustained period of time the game is lost, the commission is going elsewhere. Hope it is resolved soon, it’s easy to do.
